Waiting: The Day After

These images appeared for me as I stood and walked  in the backyard today. In the sun. They feel connected to this moment in history and my own sense of the in between and waiting. The hope and trust and the knowing there needs to be a deep rebuilding. I always find magic in the backyard here. I'm indoors posting this now, but I can see a bright-red headed woodpecker just arrived. There is so much more than this.

Your openness inspires me, Hannah. The feather photo is my favorite!

Oh Hannah...
I did not realize you had posted these wonderful photographs until just now. I love them. My most favorites are the horseshoe and the broken birdbath. Each is provocative for me because, 1 week ago I had Marshall hang two very old horseshoes, one at my front door and the other at my kitchen door. I felt more luck was needed all around.
He also suggested that he would like to arrange a birdbath for me near my kitchen window.
All of the photographs of your lovely back yard are beauts.
